What he should do is at least issue a statement, such as:
"we are doing everything necessary to assure the safety and rescue of Captain Phillips" - "we are praying for his family during this difficult time" - "we will not be intimidated nor bullied by terrorists" - and finally, put a bullet thru the head of each pirate holding Captain Phillips hostage. This has gone on far too long. Ever hear of an executive order?
